Cindy and Michael’s wedding at Los Angeles’s storied Paramour Estate was nothing short of spectacular. Brimming with texture, style, scenery and details, every view was something to take in. Friends and family came out in droves to celebrate this amazing couple and the love was felt all around.
As this was my first wedding in quite a while, I wanted to really knock it out of the park. Firstly, Cindy and Michael might be the sweetest couple ever. Secondly, given my history with Michael’s family (I planned his daughter Hannah’s wedding 9 years prior…one of my all-time favorite couples and weddings!), I had to make this experience extra special for the family and their guests. And thirdly, I just wanted to throw one helluva party. And that we did! An incredible team came together to make each detail sing.
CEREMONY
The ceremony took place in the lower lawn of the property. Guests meandered down a guided pathway to the secret clearing overlooking the city. The heartfelt ceremony was performed by the groom’s sister. Tied into the chuppah were heirlooms from the couple’s family to honor those who had passed. It was a personalized touch that felt incredibly meaningful.

COCKTAIL HOUR
Guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres around the Parmour’s iconic pool while taking in the crisp November air. Hand calligraphed escort cards were hand passed to each guest prior to dinner.

DINNER
While the guest count climbed over 200, the communal feasting tables kept the room feeling connected. Twinkle lights and lots of candlelight created a soft and intimate feel. With AOC’s stellar team of Suzanne Goin designing the menu and Caroline Styne pairing the wine, guests were treated to an unforgettable feast. Michael, a composer, serenaded his bride in a surprise song during dinner which had everyone shedding happy tears.

RECEPTION
Rather than a raging dance party, we opted for a moody throwback jazz club complete with a ’40s-style swing band, a secret speakeasy and a cigar lounge. Guests made themselves cozy amidst the intimate nooks of the interior rooms while servers passed mini sweets and after dinner cocktails. The cherry on top was when the Dodger’s clinched the world series and the band led us in a rousing rendition of “Take Me Out to the Ball Game.”
This Paramour Estate wedding was one for the books!
